Fall Siggies

We don't have Fall season here in the Philippines, but there are a lot of Fall or Autumn themed digital scrapbooking kits out there right now. And I've fallen in love with the season's warm colors, I'm sure I'd love it too if we have it here in my country. Nevertheless, I've decided to wear the lovely colors of Fall in my siggies.

This one's my Gottapixel siggy made with Silvia Romeo's Harvest Season mini kit. It's actually an entry to the current month's siggy challenge.

And that ^ is my current siggy at Stuff to Scrap. I made it with a huge kit called October Moon.

My New Siggy @ GottaPixel

I've recently changed my siggy at GottaPixel and I love the new one. Here it is!

Thanks to the lovely mini kit provided by Silvia Romeo.

You can also get this free mini kit by joining us @ Gottapixel and playing along with the What's in a Name Challenge. I hope you have as much fun as I did in creating my siggy. See you there!

Good Ol' Summertime Challenge

I'm back again with a response to a blog challenge by Scrapping with Liz. So the challenge is to create a layout about what you'd like to or wish you could do this summer. But since summer is over and done here in the Philippines, I scrapped about the ice cream cake I had 2 summers ago. Would love to eat some again!

So here's my scrapbook page...

And here's the Scrapping with Liz product that I used...

Lori Scraplift Challenge by SuzyQ Scraps

I am definitely back into digital scrapbooking! I love the fact that I learn new things everyday and I get to practice them on my layouts. Also, joining digiscrap communities was a big help in motivating me to keep scrapping.

So today, I ran across SuzyQ Scraps' blog and I thought it would be nice to respond to her challenge, which is to scraplift one of Lori's layouts. Here is Lori's page that I scraplifted.

Then, here goes my page! That's my niece, Ava Brienne, when she was 4 months old. She's such a darling!

I used the free template that went with the challenge and SuzyQ Scraps' Just the Way You Are mini kit.

The best part about this challenge is the chance to win $10 coupon to SuzyQ Scraps store at Scrap Orchard. So if you're also interested to join, head on over to SuzyQ Scraps blog, check out the details for this challenge and download the template freebie.

It was great playing with this challenge. I hope I win! :D

June 2012 Desktop Calendar Freebie

I decided to make my own desktop calendar this month. But I feel so sorry to have forgotten some PS tricks that I used to do when I digiscrap. I blame it on myself for not practicing them for a while. But I remember making some notes about them and keeping bookmarks so I will have to check them out when I get the chance. Anyhow, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Thanks to the pretty mini kit I used, and the lovely alpha too!

If you like it, you can get it for free. Just click the image above. All you need is a Google or Gmail account. Sign in, then click the File tab and download.

May 2012 Desktop Calendar

Hello to you and hello to the merry month of May! I kind of got carried away so I just had the chance to update. Let me show you my pick for this month's desktop calendar freebie.

Thank you, Penny Springmann for this pretty freebie! If you want to grab it, head on over to her blog.

I also created my own since it's been a while since I scrapped. Here's how it turned out.

Would you like me to share it? Just let me know... And of course, I would like to thank the Divine Digital Designers for their remarkably huge collab kit, which I used in this desktop calendar (except for the Pirate Gold Alpha from Julie. It is.).

You can visit My Scrapbook Art Magazine if you also want to grab this artful kit.

April 2012 Desktop Calendar

Before the month of April passes by, let me share with you at least my desktop calendar. Val and I have been away for too long without an internet connection, thus the long overdue post! Anyway, here's a lovely one from shabby princess and the shabby shoppe team.

The photo I inserted was taken quite recently.. the day we arrived back here in Cebu. It's good to be back!

March 2012 Desktop Calendar

I can already feel the summer heat, especially at night. These days, I often think about going to the beach, and it's only March! That's why I've chosen a summer bright desktop calendar for this month.

The photos I chose for this calendar were taken during our trip to Logos Hope, the largest floating "book fair" in the world!

Thanks to Meg for this lovely desktop calendar. If you want to grab this freebie, check out her blog at Wild Dandelion Designs.

February 2012 Desktop Calendar

I found the perfect desktop calendar wallpaper for our most recent photo!

Val and I were lounging after a long day of serving and entertaining guests during the annual patronal fiesta in my mom's hometown. I guess, you can tell we were both tired... but definitely happy!

Thanks to Trixie Scraps Designs for this lovely freebie. If you wish to grab it too, check out her blog.

January 2012 Desktop Calendar

Hi!!! I know I've been MIA for a while and have been lazy when it comes to digital scrapbooking. Sadly, I haven't completed my 365 project last year. However, I'll just keep working on it whenever I have time to spare. So, even if I was away, I still managed to change my desktop calendar for the past few months. I just failed to share them with you. Here's what I had since September 2011.

That photo of me and Val were taken in the airport, I think. Yeah, we've been traveling a lot. Actually, just between Iloilo and Cebu. The cute calendar is from TheShabbyShoppe.com.

Just had the right pic to match the halloweenish desktop calendar by Leelou Blogs. It was a fun halloween eve at the beach with friends!

August 2011 Desktop Calendar

Before Val and I go for another vacation where there will be no Internet, let me share with you our desktop calendar this month of August.

The photos were taken at BE Resorts Mactan. We were supposed to go to the Lapu-Lapu Shrine, but we got past it without knowing. So we stopped in front of BE Resorts, and instead of heading straight back to the shrine, we decided to have a look-see of the place. Here's a couple of pictures that I took.

July 2011 Desktop Calendar

Just a quick post today! I'm sharing with you my lovely July desktop calendar by Manu Designs.

The photo I inserted here was taken in Ave Maria Islet in Guimaras, where we went camping last summer with Val's friends. I loved how Val and I fit under the umbrella. It looks like we're sharing it. Thanks to Zarrah for taking this photo. We love it!

Anyway, if you want to grab this cool desktop calendar, just drop by Manuela Zimmerman's blog.

Have a great weekend!

Well and Back!

Yey, I'm back! It's been a while, huh? I kind of got messed up when Val and I went to Iloilo for a supposedly less-than-a-week vacation. I was hospitalized unexpectedly due to stomach pain, LBM and vomiting. We suspected I had amoebiasis because of the seafoods we had the previous night. But my lab tests were negative. Nevertheless, they gave me Metronidazole, an anti- bacterial/protozoan kind of drug. It worked and after a couple of days, I was out. But I was really stressed out for a few more days, even when we're already back here in Cebu. All of that is over now though. I just have to be more careful with what I eat. I read probiotics also helps in preventing stomach problems, so yeah, I drink Yakult everyday. LOL!

There's simply a lot of things that I need to catch up on. I, of course, will do my best until our next vacation in May. I hope all will be well then. For now, let me share with you my April 2011 desktop calendar by Adori Graphics.

I had to re-use the above photo due to lack of any recent pictures of me and Val. Anyway, I think the calendar is really gorgeous. If you like it too, you can grab it for free at Adorible Digital Designs.

Project 365 for 2011 - Our Wedding Scrapbook

This year, I started my Project 365. It's called Our Wedding Scrapbook. Val and I have loads of photos from our wedding day and they're perfect for scrapbooking. I've been looking for free kits and quickpages for them since last year. But what truly makes me happy are the layouts that I myself made. It's overwhelming how much I've learned in Photoshop. I intend to learn more tricks. I think, I'm already addicted. I've spent a lot of hours watching video tutorials, exploring and experimenting.

Today marks Day 40 of my project and today, I will post something of my own layout. So here I am, proud to present Project 40/365.

To see a hi-res version of this digiscrap, you may visit my tumblelog, http://vpweddingscrapbook.tumblr.com/.

So what do you think of my layout? I'd really appreciate your comments. I'm fairly new to this thing and I would love to learn some more.

Anyway, that's me and Val together with our Principal Sponsors. There are 9 pairs of them, all of whom are close family friends and relatives. We are very grateful that they came to join us on our wedding day.

Here's Kit "I Do," which I used on the above layout. Sadly though, the download link for this kit has expired, but you may still visit Marie's blog for more freebies.

From now on, I will be posting weekly updates of my project. Maybe, every other day for this week and next so I can catch up. LOL! Thanks for dropping by. Good day!
